San Francisco at Night - but Faded!

The original photo is a night/dusk scene of San Francisco taken in the 70's. As you can see it has faded to the point where there is no color information in the photo. We were able to determine the kind of colors in the original photo before fading by taking a close look at the colors along the edges. The finished photo was a 16x20 to replace the original.

Adding a swatch of color is pretty easy. But take a close look at this detail view ... what makes this work unique in the world of coloring is the delicate speckling and variation of colors that duplicates how it would have looked in the original photograph.
